Many of the bowls, boards and decorative pieces in this gallery began life as bespoke commissions. Often they mark special occasions such as weddings, retirements, club awards or family milestones, and are tailored to a particular size, timber or inscription.
If you spot a piece you like the look of, I can usually create something in a similar style, adjusted to suit your space and budget. Every piece will still be unique, shaped by the character of the wood itself.
Most kitchenware pieces are finished with food-safe oils or hardwax products that protect the wood while keeping a natural feel. Decorative pieces may use different finishes, sometimes with waxes or lacquers chosen to suit the timber and the way the piece will be used.
With a little simple care, your wooden bowls and boards can give many years of service. Hand wash, dry promptly and refresh the oil from time to time.
